While the root of my practice includes a wide range of concerns from anxiety and depression to couples therapy and work related stresses, I have added experience working with these populations, that often include experiences of traumatic stress and emergency response experiences.
Couples Therapy
While a “couple” does not define a particular population in the traditional sense, it is a specialization that requires added skill and experience to conduct. My background in working with couples issues, marital counseling, and pre-marital counseling is superb, using skills from Gottman to communication techniques developed by Dr. Tannen. Working dynamically with couples requires added expertise beyond traditional training and an even hand in providing support and accountability for the partners.
Performance/Sports Psychology
Personalized training with cognitive and neurological skill building to deliver cutting edge physical and mental training to help improve performance, reduce injuries, improve mental acuity, and increase career longevity, while creating a positive culture of support, community, and ethical behavior.
Military Psychology
Understanding the unique experiences of military personnel is paramount to appropriate treatment and conduct in therapy. As a military spouse myself, and coming from a long line of military professionals, including my grandfather a medical doctor in WWII I understand these issues and have expertise in conducting discreet therapeutic assistance for veterans of all types.

Police/Emergency Personnel
My background as a Medic in New Orleans and in multiple hospitals has given me unique insight into the experiences of firefighters, medics, and other emergency personnel. The impacts of compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and acute trauma are all prevalent in these populations and it is important to consider them separate from other experiences of pain and traumatic stress. My background with these groups is robust and my style of therapy is to address these issues in a firm and supportive manner. Let me be your best ally.
